Cookie Policy

  1. General Information This Policy applies to cookies and similar technologies used on the website www.biomat.agh.edu.pl, operated by the Polish Society for Biomaterials (PSB), with its registered office in Krakow (Al. Mickiewicza 30, 30-059 Krakow, Poland).
  2. What are cookies? Cookies are small text files sent by a web server and stored on the user’s device (e.g., on a computer’s hard drive, laptop, or smartphone memory). They are used to facilitate the use of the website and allow it to remember the user’s preferences and settings.
  3. For what purposes do we use cookies? Our website uses cookies for the following purposes:
  • Strictly Necessary: To maintain user sessions, ensure the proper display of registration forms, guarantee security, and support basic website navigation features.
  • Analytical and Statistical: To generate anonymous statistics that help us understand how conference participants and other users interact with the website. This allows us to improve its structure and content (without personal identification of the user).
  • Social Media (External): Due to the inclusion of links to social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook) on the website, third parties may store their own cookies to ensure the proper functioning of their plugins and for analytical purposes on their respective platforms.
  1. Types of cookies used The website uses two main types of cookies:
  • Session cookies: Temporary files that are stored on the user’s device until logging out, leaving the website, or turning off the software (web browser).
  • Persistent cookies: Files stored on the user’s device for the time specified in the cookie parameters or until manually deleted by the user.
  1. Managing cookies Users can change their cookie settings at any time. Web browsing software (browsers) usually allows cookies to be stored on the user’s device by default. These settings can be changed in the web browser to block the automatic handling of cookies or to inform the user each time they are placed on the device.

Detailed information about the possibilities and methods of handling cookies is available in the software settings of individual browsers (e.g., Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari).

Please note that restricting the use of cookies may affect some of the functionalities available on the conference website (e.g., issues with the registration and abstract submission forms).

  1. Contact If you have any questions regarding the processing of your personal data and the use of cookies, please contact us at: rytro@agh.edu.pl. Full information on personal data processing (GDPR) can be found in the [GDPR Information] tab.
